.The Government statistician estimates the number of-live stock in Queensland, as at January 1 last, as follows: —Horses, 486,295, aii increase of 33.379, compared with tin* number at the same date last, year: cattle, 3.863,748, an increase of 449,829: sheep, 16.700,666. an increase of 1.814,228; and pigs, 132,550, a decrease of 5732. At noon today Mr. J. Thorites will sell by auction at. his land sale rooms. 83, Queenstreet, property known as "Australbion," at the corner of Sentinel Road and Sarsneldstreet, Ponsonby. If not sold in one lot it will be offered in four lots, as advertised.
