CRUISE OF THE AMOKURS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —rEKSS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington-, Thursday. Tin: training-ship Amokura returned to her usual anchorage off Thomdou during the night. She has boon absent in the North for some months, chiefly in the Hauraki Gulf. The Antokura visited -Tolago Bay, Gisborne, and Napier on her way South, and the lads wore hospitably received wherever she jitd in. (She made the journey South under canvas for the most part, and the boys worked the ship. There are 76 all told on board, ami 60 <«i them are boys. ' Captain Hooper, who is in command, brings his youthful crew into the home port in a.' first-class state of health, and the vessel is the pink of i lean lineand good order. That the Amokura is too small for the purposes: 01 a training-ship Was demonstrated again and again during the cruise. '■- %
