A special meeting of the Auckland Cricket ' Association was held in the Sports* Club --. last evening, a. large number of .delegates ■"■>■ being present, and Mr. V. E. Rice, vice-pre- ■->} sident, acting as chairman. The meeting was called for the purpose of considering the proposed alterations to; the district boundaries, as outlined in * > report of a previous meeting. The meet- ! ing approved of the alterations, which now., 'only require the ordinary formalities to make them law. ">.- The association was waited on by a depu- : tation from the Auckland University, con- . si.'rt.ini; of Mr. F. K. Eaume, M.P., Professor : Beg at, and Mr. Mahon, who asked that the University be admitted as a district club. : The speakers pointed out that they had. 55 players, and advanced other reasons in support of their application. After a. good deal of discussion it wits decided, subject to confirmation at a special general meet* ing, to be held on Thursday. May 7, to admit the University as a, district. The Eden : club undertook, at the request of the As-. ■-:'; sociation, to provide two first (trade teams ; for next season, thus making eight teams, and obviating a bye, PUSHBALL.. The novel out-door gam» of American ptuto* t ball will be one of the attractions at Rotortia ;- on Easter l&iturday, when a team representing the Tourist Department and a. Maori team will play a match on I'ukeroa Kill. The ball has been lent by the Auckland Mounted Corps, and the proceeds of the exhibition will be in aid of the proposed Seddon memorial town clock.
