ATTEMPT TO WRECK A TRAIN. RINGLEADER'S CONFESSION. By Telegraph.—Press Association—Copyright. (Received April 12, 4.20 p.m.) Calcutta, April 11. The ringleader of the party which attempted to destroy a train conveying Sir Andrew Fraser, Lieu-tenant-Governor of Bengal, and his wife, in December last, has been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment, and five accomplices to five years each. The ringleader confessed that he had been induced to make the attempt for twelve rupees, which were never paid. '• , On December 9 tin attempt was made to dynamite a train conveying Sir <A. H. Fraser, Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal, and Lady Fraser, between Warayangar and Benapur. Several sleepers were blown to fragments, and a big hoi© was made in the ground. The engine was not derailed, and no one was hurt.
