" The steamer Rakanoa, of the Union line, arrived from Westport about 5 p.m. yesterday with a large cargo of coal for Auckland. She left the West Coast port at 5 p.m. on Thursday and experienced good weather all the way. The Rakanoa sails for Westport again at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. THE STRATHAVON. The steamer Strathavon left Sydney on Friday for Auckland on her way to New York. She should arrive here on Wednesday night. THE MOKOIA. The steamer Mokoia, Captain R. E. Smith, arrived from Dunedin, via East Coast ports, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She left, Dunedin on the 7th inst., and called at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. She left the latter port at 4.45 p.m. on Saturday, and passed the East Cape at 10.30 p.m. the same day. Experienced fiiie weather and smooth seas throughout the passage. The Mokoia, which berthed at the Queen-street Wharf, leaves at 5.30 p.m. today for Sydney. THE MANUKA. ■ The Union Company's steamer Manuka, which left* Sydney at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday, arrived , in the harbour at 1 p.m. yesterday, and after the usual medical inspection berthed at the Quay-street Jetty about -3 o'clock. The Manuka, had a fine passage all the way across, experiencing light northerly and easterly winds, with a smooth sea, throughout. fne 'had the Three King* abeam at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
