FAVOURED TREATMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association Copyright. Ottawa, April 0. Canada's intermediate tariff, which provides for Favoured treatment to France, will apply only to French goods shipped direct from France or through British ports ; otherwise the maximum tariff will be imposed. It was announced by the French Minister for Commerce, ait the beginning of September last that a commercial agreement with Can ft had boon virtually completed." The preference given to British goods by Canada is 53,j per cent.
