GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS.
Tub monthly meeting of the Auckland Grammar School Board of Governors was held yesterday, when there were present: Sir ('.. M. O'Rorke (chairman), the Hon. .1. A. Tole, Professor Thomas, Dr. Robcrton, Messrs. L. J. Bagnall, and C. J. Parr. Now Appointment: It, was resolved to invite applications in England for a. now lady teacher for tho girls' school, to undertake the teaching of modern languages at a salary of £175. The new teacher is expected to bo in a position to commence her duties in September next. Tho New School: Professors Brown and Thomas anil Mr. Bagnall were appointed to supervise the necessary arrangements for putting the new girls' school in order for the opening.
