FIRE NEAR DUNE DIN.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Thursday. ■ A five-roomed house in Water-street, Maori Hill, owned and occupied by J. R. Ronald, a motorman, was totally destroyed by lire at 3.40 tin's morning.. When Mr. Ronald was awakened the fire had a strong hold, and he had to give his attention to saving his wife and three children, whom he passed through a window. A two-roomed dwelling next door, occupied by Herbert ('ramp, narrowly escaped destruction. ' Ronald's house was valued at £350, and was insured in the South British office for £300. The furniture and effects, valued at £80, were uninsured, and very little- was saved.
