' THE, MONOWAI. The Union Company's steamer Monowai, Captain G. H. Lacy, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 11 a.m. yesterday and berthed at the Hobson-atrect Wharf. The steamer leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at noon tomorrow. *» THE ABERLOUR. The United States and Australian Company's steamer Aberlour arrived from New York and Southern ports yesterday . morning with a part cargo of general merchandise. The steamer left New York on' January 2 and experienced some fairly heavy weather to the equator, which was crossed on January 21. On the 28th the steamer signalled ok' St. Helena, and met with an uneventful voyage to Port Chalmers, where she arrived on March 6. On discharge of cargo the steamer called at Lyttelton and Wellington, and on discharge at Auckland proceeds to Australia. THE DECHMONT SIGHTED. The Clnistchurcli Press reports that a fullrigged ship, supposed to be the Dechinont, bound from Wellington to London, was sighted on March 13 by the steamer Ripple. The ship was about 15 miles south-west of Waitnngi (Chatham Islands), ami was heading about south-east, with a good northerly wind. The Dechmont wan towed out of Port Nicholson on the 14th inst.
