.». . KING'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS. The annual meeting of the King's College Old Boys* Association was held in (lie Federal Hall last evening,. Mi-. A. It. Wigmore (president) in the chair. " The annual report, 'stated that the present membership of .the association was *35 ordinary member.-, four lite, and • 41 honorary members, which, (hough a small Increase on hip previous year, bud been augmented since the year closed by live new members. The bank balance stood at £43 6s Id, a substantial increase -for,, the year. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The election of officers reisuited as follows President, Mr. 0.: V. Robert- 1 son ; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. R. Wiginoro and li. H. Bayly; committee, Messrs. 0. Hamlin, R. J. Owen, T. M. Wilkes, and 0. G. Dickesbn; lion, secretary, Mr. L. Q. Murray; hon. treasurer, Mr. Graham Reid; auditors', Messrs. R. Thornes and N. Duthie. A special vote of thanks was passed to the- retiring president (Mr. A. K. Wigmore) for his services to the association during the year, and the other officers were thanked, us also were Mr. Major (headmaster of King's College) and Mrs. Major for allowing members the use of the school buildings for socials and concerts. BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL. The members of the Birkenhead Borough Council sat Inst night, as a. Works Committee,' when there were present: Messrs. J. G. Kav (in the chair), T. Hadfleld. E. G. Skeates, 11. P. Taylor, Wm. Wallace, P. A. Pitt, and T. Clements.' In connection with the leasing from Mr. A. Myers of his properly at (lie entrance of Birkenhead the Mayor and Messrs. Skeates and Taylor were appointed a sub-committee to instruct the Council's solicitor to prepare a draft agreement between Mr. Myers and the Council, such agreement in be submitted to the Council for approval. An-offer by Mr. ,1. L, Heron to purchase a portion of the reservoir site opposite Mr. Bagot's was .declined, the Council requiring this land for municipal purposes. On the motion of Messrs. Taylor and Skeates the Reclamation ,• Committee we're instructed to report to the next meeting of the Council upon the question of the harbour view roads. Mr. Taylor drew attention to the dangerous state of the Northcote-Birkenhead foot bridge, and the Mayor and Messrs. Kay, Pitt, and Taylor were appointed a committee to consult, with'the Northcote Borough Council with a view to taking joint, action to effect permanent, repairs.
