[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The tender of Sheldon and Aitken, of Hamilton, at £1396, has been accepted for the erection of Government buildings at To Kuiti. Frank Halligau pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court to-day to a charge that, being the grantor of a bill of sale to .John Wilkinson, solicitor, of Dunedin, he did, on January 30, 1907, at Wellington, by the sale of a horse and express, comprised in the bill of sale, attempt to defraud the said John Wilkinson, and thus impair his security over the same. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Dunedin, Wednesday. The city tramways show a profit of £5500 for the past twelve months. Napier, Wednesday. Sheep dog trials, opened yesterday, and resulted as follows:—Heading and bringing back: T. A. Morton's Jed, 1; T. A. Winks' Lubra, 2 ; T. W. W. Jones' Rubra, 3. Twenty-nine dogs competed.
