ASSASSINATION PLANNED.
CONSPIRATORS ALL NEGROES By Telegraph.— Press Association.—Copyright. London, March 17. President Alexis, with a view to avoiding complications, has authorised the refugees at the Consulates to leave Hayti. He claims to possess proofs that Senor Fermin, the revolutionary leader, conspired to assassinate him (President Alexis) and the Ministers. Since the outbreak 27 conspirators, all of whom are negroes, have, been found in possession of firearms, and all have been executed without trial. The refugees include General Nadreau, commander at Port-au-Prince, and the Chief Justice of Hayti. France has refused to surrender those who have sought refuge in the French Consulate. (Received March 18, 10 p.m.) New York, March 18. The United States warships Desmomes and Eagle have been ordered to Hayti.
