NO SIGN OF SETTLEMENT. [by telegraph.-—press ASSOCIATION.] Greymocth, Wednesday. There is nothing new to report regarding the strike at Blackball, and everything is quiet in the township. The miners intend to hold a meeting to-morrow to further consider the position. From present appearances a, settlement is far distant. REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL All). A telegram received by the Trades and Labour Council last night., from the Blackball Miners' Union, stating that the strike was still in progress, and that financial aid was needed, was deferred pending the receipt of written correspondence.
