TRANSHIPMENTS. The Union Company's steamer Manuka, which arrived from Sydney yesterday, brought, transhipments ex Jfararoa. Kairoma, China, Chajigsha, Ashridge, Ariiwutta, Obe'rhansen, Koba, Bombala, Innainineka, Uiverina, Kspakapa, Aiiturias, Mlaueus, Caledonian, Ueelong, Afric, Empire, Ophir, and Nera. THE MOKOIA. ' The Union Company's steamer Mokoia arrived in Auckland from Dunedin, via East' Coast ports, at 11.30 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Dunedin on the l'Otli inst.. and after calling at Lyttelton, Wellington. Napier, and Oisbomu left the latter port at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday, passed the East Cape at 6.30 p.m. the same day, and arrived as above. Fino weather, with calm sea, was experienced throughout the trip. The Mokoia leaves for Sydney at 5.30 this afternoon. THE MANUKA. The Union Company's steamer Manuka, which left Sydney about 6 o'clock last Wednesday evening, made a good trip across tho Taenia Sea, arriving here at, 3.30 p.m. yesterday, berthing about 4 o'clock. The Manuka experienced light north-east winds, smooth sea, and. line weather overhead during the passage across. The steamer leaves for the South to-morrow afternoon. THE DULWICH. The steamer Dulwich Ail-rived in. Auckland on Saturday night from limibury (West Australia) and Newcastle with "a cargo of hardwood timber for Now Zealand ports. She left the West Australian port on February 22 and had a good voyage to Newcastle, where she arrived on the 6tli inst. After taking in bunker coal the steamer left two davs later. On the voyage to New Zealand exceptionally bad weather as experienced, which continued for over two days, and the vessel did not make her usual way. There was very little wind, but according to the officers there was a tremendous sea, which appeared to keep in front of the ship. The barometer went very low and kept so for three days, " the peculiarity being," said the chief officer, " that there was practically no wind." The vessel, being heavily laden, shipped a lot of water, but no damage was done. The Dulwich shoiild have arrived on Friday night, but the weather delayed her nearly 24 hours. She will discharge in_ Auckland 23,042 pieces of jarrah timber, containing 445,175 superficial feet, for Millar's West Australian Hardwoods Company, Limited, who are the local agents. The Dulwich is expected to leave next Saturday for Wellington and Lyttelton with timber. THE COROMANDEE TRADE. v The increase in the trade between Coromandel and Cabbage Bay lias induced the Northern Steamship Company to replace the Falcon by the steamer Katikati, the. former having now proved inadequate. The Katikati has about four times the carrying capacity of the Falcon. She was originally built for the trade between Tauranga ana Katikati. DELAYS IN LOADING. The Wellington agents of the Tyser line, in a communication to the Dominion, point out that the Hallway Department is short of rolling stock, and. that the loading of steamers with meat in that port is delayed in consequence.
