A MOTORIST'S. DEATH.

Chiiistchcrch, Thursday. The inquest concerning the death of S. R. .Merrett, who was fatally injured in a motor car accident at Addington on February ?2, was conducted by M'r. H. W. Bishop, JD.• f.trict Coroner, to-night. After 40 minutes' retirement the jury returned the following verdict, "That S. R. Merrett met his death by a. motor car accident, no blame being attachable to anyone, and that Dr. Diamond did his best in the circumstances." 'I i.e jury added✓ a rider to the effect that all motorists did not observe the speed regulations, and in their opinion were not checked sufficiently by the authorities.
