Tub Earl of Arran, presiding at the meeting of Rovril, Limited, said they much regretted having; to cut down the Australian business owing to the increase in the import duties. Mr. George Lawson Johnston, vice-chairman, said that Australia for 20 years had been the company's favourite source of supply for raw material, and .he thought it would have been the last place to raise its duties against them. He had rather hoped for preference.
