MEETINGS.

ONEHUNGA LIBERAL AND LABOUR FEDERATION. The monthly meeting of the Onehunga branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation was held at the Foresters' Hall last evening, when Mr. E. G. Allsworth presided over a good attendance of members. _ The chief business was the fixing of details in connection with the picnio and excursion to Papakura on March 7. The committee reported that the preliminaries were well advanced, and that special trains would ran at a fare of Is 6d return from Onehunga. Sir Joseph Ward, the Prime Minister, as well as Ministers and members of Parliament, would be present, and a highlysuccessful outing was anticipated. Four new members were elected, and %vo candidates nominated.

ONE-TREE HILL DOMAIN BOARD. The. One-tree Hill Domain Board met on Wednesday afternoon, the chairman (Sir G. M. O'Rorke) presiding. The annual report for the year ending December 31 stated that the works carried out had included the completion of the carriage drive to the summit of the hill, and also the construction of the down drive, the latter, for which a Government subsidy had been granted, beingl now close on the finishing point. Other works and improvements executed had been the planting of trees and shrubs, trimming hedges erecting a large swing for the children, and keeping the plantations, drives. and shrubberies in order. Tho lease of the Auckland Golf Club, at £150 per annum, 1 would expire in June of this year. The assets were: Rent, due, £37 10s, and balance £89 19s 7d; and liabilities, £17 (wages). The statement of receipts and expenditure showed the following figures:— Balance brought forward from December 31, 1906, £55 14s; grants in aid, £100; rente of reserves and pastures, £135. Expenditure: Labour. £162 lis; cartage, £10 18s 9d. The report and financial statement were adopted. Sir G. M. O'Rorke was re-elected chairman, and-a resolution was passed to the effect that existing committees remain in office for the ensuing year, The question of granting a lease of a'portion of the domain. for. grazing .purposes, was referred to the Works Committee.
