Tho committee of the Anniversary Re- ' _ gatta met in the clubrooins, Queen-street, lajt night, when the prizes won at the regatta on January 29 were paid over. Mr. T. T. Masefield presided, and there was a ,' : full attendance of the committee and those interested. in the regatta. Mr. .Masefield, in opening tho meeting, expressed his pleaBureat the results of the regatta, which, he said, was one of the best over held in the 'Waitoniata. Thoro was very fine sport for ;allpf tho boats, but he would have* wished ' for more wind for the sailing races. Still, ' they could not get all that they desired on regatta day. As tho competitors came forward to receive the prizes they were ac- . corded a hearty reception. It was arranged • that tho raco for the small scows should be [ resailed on February 29.
