Napier, Tuesday. George Adams was committed" for trial today on a charge of having assaulted Frederick Edmonds with intent to do grievous bodily harm. The evidence showed that after a few words between the pair at the rear of the Criterion Hotel Adams seized an axe and endeavoured to strike Edmonds, missing his neck by a couple of inches.
