AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. No work of any consequent was recorded! at Ellerslie yesterday morning, most of the horses being restricted to trotting and cantering. Tho following horses ran four furlongs on the tan: —Dawn, 53 2-ss; Sir Tristram, 53 l-ss; Zimmerman, 52 3-5s Projectile, the last three in 42 3-ss. On the sand Bobrikoff ran four furlongs in 525. Omati shaped nicely over six flights of hurdles. Shrapnel was struck out of tho Auckland Cup yesterday at 10.50 a.m. By advertisement in another column it is notified that all applications for bookmakers' licenses for tho summer meeting must be in tho hands of tho secretary, Mr. J. P.. Hartlaud, by 5 p.m. to-day. AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. The name of Elba (95.) was omitted from tho list of handicaps in the Maiden Plate, to be run at tho Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting. MANAWATU RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING [by telegraph.-!—press association.] Palmerston Nobth, Wednesday. To-day was comparatively an off-day at Awapuni, and tho majority of tho horses which will compete at the Manawatu' meeting were restricted to useful pacing work. Sister Anne and Do WHte were first out this morning, but tho pair did only pacing work. Catapult and Dusky Morn also arrived from Wanganui. The latter put up an attractive six furlongs, aud was evidently in very fair form. Dream and Orucinello galloped fivo furlongs fast, the latter having tho bettor of the sprint. Tho Cup candidates, Tangimoana, Monti 30, and Bourrasque, did useful work, as did also Rangipapa,: Tangeroa, Prospector, Oakleigh, and numerous others. All worked' on the plough. THE RANGITIKEI CUP. Splendid Idea 7.5, Uhlaudo 7.5, Belario 6.9, Tan San 6.7. Acceptances for Orakei Maori Races close with the secretary, at tho Waitemata Hotel to-morrow, at one p.m.
