During a very heavy storm a Chinese, On Dean, went into his garden at Orange, New South Wales, to see that everything was right, when he was struck by a flash of lightning and killed instantly. Settlement is developing very rapidly on the Main Trunk line. A gentleman, who has just returned from a visit along the line, states that at Ohakune there is a sawmilling population alone of 600 or 700 people.
