SPEEDY DESTROYER.
THIRTY-FIVE KNOTS AN HOUR. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. (Received December 18, 10.50 p.m.) London, December 18. The destroyer Tartar, in her official trial, averaged for eix hours' continuous steaming a speed of 35.363 knots.
A few weeks ago the ocean-going torpedoboat destroyer Mohawk, 766 tons, which was guaranteed to have a speed of 33 knots, averaged 34| knots during her steam trial of six hours in the North Sea. This then was said Co have been a. speed record.
