CRISIS IN PORTUGAL.
DEMONSTRATIONS AT LISBON.
SERIOUS TROUBLE FEARED.

Lisbon, November 25. SEVEN hundred Portuguese officers tried to organise a demonstration at. Lisbon in the King's favour, but so many officers were prepared to assist in a counter demonstration, that the police prohibited both.
The Premier (Senhor Franco) denies the report that the Crown Prince has been banished to Villaviciosa, in the province of Andalusia.
The Premier's attempt to govern without the Cortes is creating ■ a highly critical situation.
The loyalty of the army and navy has been questioned. The publication of manv of the leading newspapers has been suspended. /• ■, »
