THE CENTRAL MISSION. Ma. Haiiold HEHCUS preached at the Mission Hall yesterday morning, and in His Majesty's Theatre in the evening. Mrs. and . Jiss Wood sang "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd." It was announced that- Mr. George Wilson, from Ceylon, would conduct a series of revival services at the Central Mission, commencing next Sunday evening in His Majesty's Theatre. ST. JAMES*, MANGERE. The fifth anniversary of St. James' Anglican Church, Mangcre, was celebrated yesterday morning, when a special service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. 11. Mason, of Otahuhu. There was a large congregation. Special hymns were rendered by an augmented choir. TIIEOSOPHY. At the H.P.B. branch of the Thcosophical Society last, evening -Mr. J. T. Reid lectured on the subject of "Tho One Life and the All-pervading Consciousness." The lecturer marshalled the facts of physical science, pyschological research, and scriptural testimony to support tho truth of his conception.
