The match between the City and Waipipi seniors, played on Saturday, resulted in a win for the former by 3 points to nil, the only score being a try obtained by C. Brocklies. .In the junior match City won by 8 points to nil, two tries being secured by'C. Fair, one of which was converted by C. Dryland. Mr. M. Aldrcd acted as referee for the seniors and Mr. 11. The Wellington Rugby Union is unable to arrange a match with Hawke's Bay on August 17, and a. request to fix the Taranaki match for August 31 has been held over PAEP.OA RUGBY UNION. Application was made for the reinstatement as juniors of two West and one East players, but the applications were refused , and the "clubs were recommended to make fre3h application when it is certain that the players will not be required for senior teams.
