Store sheep were rather dull of •ale in consequence of the shortage of feed. Fat lambs and fat sheep cold well, the latter showing a decided rise. Pigs were in good demand, {.specially stores-, and there was an improved demand, lor dairy cows, but stoic cattle were unsalable. There was a small mixed yarding of store iheep and prices were somewhat easier, eompeiition being slow. The principal lots sold were: Ewes. 127 sound mouth at 12* lid, 59 at '12s Od. 227 aged at 8s lOd. 102 at 5s 2d, and 'mailer lots at 9s lOd to lis 3d : hoggets. 55 at ' 1& Bd, 45 at lis lOd. 86 at lis 9d, 63 at lis 9d, 72 at lis sd, 87 at lis 8d; wethers, 401 at 17s Id. 84 at 145,10 d. 52 at.lss 10(1. 81 at 14s 6d. There was a small yarding of lambs, made up »l mostly unfinished lot*. Anything at all prime 'old at a little better than the-previous week's rates, and other sorts were without, change. I rime lambs made lis to 19s 6d and lighter lis la 14s 6d., There was a fairly large yarding of fat sheep, including some prime lines of ewes and wethers. The inevitable rise, in prices consequent upon the falling off in supplies manifested itself, all classes selling at Is to In 6d per head better than of late. There was a good clearance, the > demand keeping: up till the close of the sale. The range of prices was extreme, wethers realising 275; 6d to 31s, prime 21s to 26s 6d, lighter , 16* lid to 20.3 6d ; prime ewes 19s to 235, medium 15* to IBs 6d, aged 12s to 14s 6d ; prime merino wethers, 16s 6d to 19s 9d.
