Wellington, Wednesday. vThk House adjourned for two hours this "afternoon to enable members to aitond the . wedding of Miss May Seddon to Mr. 'Knox Gilmer, youngest son of the Hon. Mr. Hamilton Gilmer, M.L.C.

. The ceremony was conducted by Bishop Waiiis, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Sprott. , The pro-Cathedral was crowded to the doors, amongst those present being the Premier (Sir Joseph Ward), members of the Ministry, and of both branches of the Legislature.

.The bride, who was given away by her brother, Captain Seddon, was, attended by Her sister, Miss Ruby Seddon, as bridesmaid, while the bridegroom was supported by Mr. W. E.Bcthunc. , '

There were between 400 and 500 pre-

. sents, many being received from the bride's ,'' friends in England and Australia. The members of the Ministry sent a silver sal- ■ ver, bearing the inscription, "Presented to Miss May Seddon by the members of .the Ministry on the occasion of her marriage." A marble'clock was presented by members .of the Legislative Council, a silver salver /from the M.H.R.'s of the Liberal party, and from the Wellington Dental Association a piece of silver plate. A quiet reception was held by Mrs. Sed.s don after the ceremony. During the day the Seddon family received a very kindly letter from Sir Wilfrid • Laurier, Premier of the Dominion of Canada, who said that during the Imperial Conference thoughts of the late Mr. Seddon frequently came into his mind'. : The wedding tour is to be spent in Aus- . tralia.
