OBSEQUIES OF FATHER LEWIS
[»Y TELEGRAPH. — press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. Thk body of the late Rev. Father Lewis, vicar-general of the archdiocese of Wellington, was buried to-day at Karori. The funeral was attended by an extraordinarily large number of mourners. Archbishop Redwood sang the "Requiem Mass ' at the Basilica, Hill-street, and preached a sermon on the text, " Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord."
