SEQUEL TO A TRAMWAY
COLLISION,
[BY telegraph.—-press association.] Christchurch, Tuesday. The Supreme Court : case in which Harry Roeanowski sued the Christchurch Tramway Board for £2000 damages for injuries (loss, of a leg) resulting from a steam tram running into a cart driven by the plaintiff on the Ferry Road, in May last year, concluded to-day. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for £750, and stated that in their opiiffon, considering the weather on the night, and the state of the road, the speed of the tram was excessive, not giving plaintiff reasonable time to get into safety. ' •
