WAIPORI ELECTRIC TOWER.
SATISFACTORY TESTS, [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] : ; Dtjnedin, Monday. In the course of an interview on Saturday, Mr.' Goodman, - city electrical engineer, stated -that he had carried out several series of very exhaustive tests of the whole of the Waipori power scheme,i in order to see hoW the total efficiency of : the hydraulic and electric portions compared with his calculations. , Mr. Goodman regards the results as highly satisfactory. The trams are running very satisfactorily on the Waipori power, and two factories are also being , run by the same paeans, while the railway station, Messrs. Briscoe and Co.'s new warehouse, and', Messrs. A. and .T. Burt's showrooms and offices are connected with the system for lighting purposes. ■' , •
