"Wellington', Saturday. Messrs. Cohen, Smith, and Shirtcliffe have been selected to represent the City Corporation on the Fire Brigade Board, constituted under the Fire Brigades Act of last session.
i'..;: - The City Council proposes to erect salt water baths at Ivilbirnie and Island Bay, and is seeking an estimate of the cost. Many complaints were made during the recent municipal election of persons entitled to vote having been struck off the roll, and the Council lias appointed a committee) of investigation. Mr. McLaren, ?• Labour representative; declared that the . condition of the recent roll was worse than that of any he had ever seen.
