Wellington. 'Thursday. Mrs. X. Gooder, an old resident, in Wellington, who arrived here with her father, Mr. F. J. France, in 1841, died on Tuesday, aged 69." ■ */''/■ One of the, oldest residents of Welling- ? ton, Mrs. Eliza Hook, died at her resi- ' dence yesterday, at tlie age of. 67 years. ' . Mrs. Hook,: who was a daughter of the.' late Mr. Geo. Majcted, for many years a , sheepfarmer at Johnsonville, arrived in Wellington by the ship Lord William Bentick in 1841, when she was only 12 f| mouths old. She has resided here ever since. Deceased leaves six daughters (all of whom are married), three sons, numer- _ -/. oils grandchildren, and several great-grand-children. %• '~;'
