• [BY TELEGRAPH.—-rUESS ASSOCIATION.] Lwercargill, ' Thursday. TiiE Hon. G. Fowlds, Minister, for Education, was resent at a banquet given tonight by Mr/J. A. Hanan, M.H.R., to the members of his I Election Committee. Presentations were made to Mr. Hanan and his wife by Mr. Fowlds. He said the party opposing the Land Bill; represented a party of privilege, and those supporting it a party of the people. :i He had no doubt that the party of the people would be victorious on- the land question. The option of purchase would be given over large areas of. native land acquired ' after the Bill was passed. V
