[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] :''. - ' Waihi, Thursday. */ An enjoyable social was held at the Primitive Methodist Church last evening. After an' excellent musical programme refreshments wero served. A Young Men's Club is to be formed in connection with the ohurch, with the Rev. Woolloxall as president.' ' •""' _■"■ ' At the annual general meeting of -the Waihi Volunteer Corps the financial statement submitted showed receipts totalling £258 03 2d, and expenditure'£l22 193 Id, leaving a credit balance of £135 Os 3d. The total assets amounted to £155 12s, and last year's oapitation has yet to come to hand. Committees were, elected as under: —Management Committee, Sergeants Gardiner, Morgan, and Comes, Corporals Magee and Davis, and Private Hunter; Shooting Committee, Sergeant Comes, Corporal Magee, Privates Clark, Parslow, Hunter, and Saunders. Sergeants W. Gardiner and E. Morgan were elected treasurer and secretary respectively. / . . ,*. .' i '
