FOOTBALL. WAIUKU CLUI3. Th» annual meeting of the Wain la I Football Club was held on April 6. There were about 20 members present and Mr. A. M. Harriball occupied the chair. A resolution to affiliate with the Auckland Rugby Union was agreed to. 'Hie following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— ration, Mr. W. V. Massey, M.H.U. ; president, Mr. A. M. The secretary was instructed to write to tke secretary of the City Football Club inviting them to send a team at an early date. PROPOSED VISIT OF SYDNEY SCHOLARS. At a meeting of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Swimming Association to-day a letter was received from tho Auckland association asking the co-ojieratiori of the former in an attempt to have the disqualification imposed on Malcolm Champion removed. The centre, however, did not bee its way to comply with the request. LAWN TENNIS. TOURNAMENT AT KAUKAPAKAPA. The ladies of the Kaukapakapa Lawn Tennis Club concluded a tournament on Saturday afternoon, the prize being a trophy donated "by Mr. Watts. After a number of sets Mrs. Specr," with an unbeaten record, was adjudged the winner. Mr. Watts made the presentation in a congratulatory speech. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CO RESPONDENT.] Waiiii, Monday. An interesting golf competition was played at Waiiii on Saturday for a handsome trophy presented by Messrs. J. true Smith. At Waihi the Suburbs cricket team have won the championship for 1907, the. victory carrying with it the Waihi Gold Mining Company's challenge shield.
