Caitais ('mi. the Commonwealth's agent in London, denies thai his suggestions of alterations in the design for the mail steamers for the new Australian service have delayed the commencement of construction of vessels, as the syndicate cordially accepted those suggestions. Although construction has not vet been commenced, the syndicate has purchased some material with a view to stalling the work.
