PROPOSALS BY NAVY LEAGUE
SUGGESTED NAVAL MILITIA

London", April 6. The Navy League intends to present a memorial to the colonial Premiers urging them to co-operate with the Motherland in imperial defence and suggos f ing the establishing of colonial naval officers and men partially paid and employed in the colonial mercantile marine. The league will also recommend that Imperial reserve warships be stationed in colonial ports, to enable the militia, corps to drill and cruise. The officers and men of these corps would be interchangeable with those in the navy.
