DIPLOMACY AND THE COLONY'S INTERESTS.

Ottawa, April 4. The. British Ambassador to Washington (Mr. James Bryce), speaking at. Toronto to-day, urged Canadians to suspend their judgment on all questions on which it was alleged British diplomacy had not done its best for Canada. He believed the Canadians were mistaken if they thought British diplomacy was indifferent to the interests of Canada, for which country the British people desired to secure justice.
