AUCKLAND AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF GENERAL COMMITTEE. A meeting of (lie general committee of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday, when the president. (Mr. John Massev) presided and there was a large attendance, practically all the members being present. Executive Committee: The following were elected an executive committee .'—Messrs. A. Anderson, T. C'oatei, (J. J. Garland. C. B. Kingswell, M. 11. Kirkbride, A. Muir, W. l'aterson, J. Phillips, A. S. Thompson, W. F. Kerr-Taylor, F. J. Wills, and J. Wylie.

Alteration of Rules: Mr. W. F. Massey, M.H.R., gave notice of motion that rule 3 should be amended to provide that the general committee should consist of 40 members, instead of 30, and that the names of candidates for the president's chair and for the positions of the two vice-presi-dents should be posted seven days previous to the election, the names of (Miididates for the committee not necessarily to be posted. Mr. C. B Kingswell gave notice to move that at future elections the ballot should be open all day.

Complimentary Tickets: 'Hie Winter Show Committee recommended that each member of the association be allowed a ticket to the winter show and two ladies' tickets, the ladies' tickets to be collected at the gate, and that no complimentary tickets lie issued locally; that, the president and two vice-presidents lie empowered to forward complimentary tickets to ollicials of other societies outside the Auckland province. The recommendations were adopted.

New Member: Mr. A. A. Thornton was elected a new member of the association.
