NATIVE LANDS COMMISSION.

VVaxgaxi'i, Thursday. The Native Lands Commission is continuing its sittings, the evidence taken being chiefly from natives with regard to their own interests in various blocks. The Commission will probably conclude its Waugamii sittings to-morrow. The Chief Justice returns to Wellington for a few clays to attend the Court of Appeal, while Mr. Xguta, M.H.R., leuves for the King Country on Saturday morning, via the Wanganui River, and will meet the natives at points en route, explaining the purpose of the Commission and making arrangements for reopening at, To Kuiti on the 17th inst. The Commission will there deal with an area comprising 400,000 acres.
