T«K Exhibition was well attended again today.; On Thursday next, if nothing unforeseen occurs, the total aggregate attendance will reach a million and a-half. Although nothing definite has been settled, it is probable that when this Dumber is attained the forlunate Visitor will receive some suitable recognition of the incident. In any case, steps will be taken to ascertain the name of the person who secures the honour. The judging of the district court duplies will take place on the 21st hist. Further awards in connection with the judging of exhibits are expected to he made tomorrow. Replies are being received from the football clubs with respect to the proposed football carnival to be held during the earlv part of April. It is probable that steps will be taken with a view to retaining the aquarium ir Christchurch, and having the same removed and fitted up in the Acclimatisation Society's garden. The aquarium has been on© of the chief attractions at the Exhibition. Thirty pupils and two teachers from the Otaut-au school. Southland, reached the Exhibition to-day, and will remain till Friday. Special attention is being given to tha sports ground track in view of the athletic meeting arranged by the Canterbury College Students' Association, which ' take* place, on Saturday afternoon next. The general manager of the Exhibition reports a. very considerable increase in the revenue from admissions to the art gallery during the past week. It is quite obvious thai the near approach of the conclusion of the Exhibition and the return to England of the pictures is causing visitors to pay more than usual attention to this exceptional feature.

The Besses o' th* Burn Band, which is still attracting large attendances, will give its final performance on the sports ground to-morrow evening- Selection! will be given alternately with pyrotechnic displays provided by Hie representative of Toy-no and Sons, London;

The Wonderland authorities are organising a fresh novelty in the form of a beauty show and a physical culture competition, which is to taKSI place on a specially-con-structed platform in the. grounds on Friday, March 22. Prizes will he given to men and women having tho best physical development, to the woman showing the best shaped arm and shoulder, and the woman displaying the neatest foot and ankle. Th© feet and ankles must he displayed bare. A prize valued at five guineas will also be given to the maiden who is judged by the vote of those present to be the prettiest girl in Christchurch. On the same night will be held a sensation which has caused immense excitement at Bondi. Sydney, when performed there some weeks ago. A gold nugget, valued at £10, will be buried in sand in the Wonderland grounds, and the members of the public may secure a diggers' license and spade for sixpence, enabling them to dig for the buried treasure.

AWARDS TO AUCKLAND EXHIBITORS. The superintendent of the Auckland court at the Christchurch International Exhibition has sent a telegram to Mr. W. « R. Holmes, showing that the industries displayed in the Auckland court have received well-merited recognition from the judges. The New Zealand Canning Company (Messrs. Langguth and Co.) have been\ awarded a gold medal for an exhibit of canned mullet- A gold medal has been awarded to the Auckland Veneer Company for an exhibit of fancy woods, and a silver medal has been given to the -Parker-Lamb',',.
