It was decided to write to the Agricultural Department asking what they are prepared to contribute towards the. cost of connecting with the proposed South Haukipu drainage system, and thus draining their property. The gasworks committees recommendation to pet aside an amount for trading in gas fittings was adopted, a £50 .limit be.ing decided upon. It, whs decided to thank the chief postmaster for acceding to a request to open the past olfice for hall an hour after the delivery of the Auckland mails.
