Kingston, January 27. Accounts received from Kingston confirm the statement of Admiral Davis in his report that the Colonial Secretary of Jamaica and the Inspector of Police asked him to land marines.

GOVERNOR VERSUS MUNICIPALITY.
A THREATENED DISSOLUTION.
London, January 27.
It is reported that Sir Alexander Swettenham has quarrelled with the City Council of Kingston, and has threatened to dissolve the, municipality and appoint commissioners to manage the city's affairs.
The Mayor and Council of Kingston urged Admiral Davis not to withdraw his marines, and to ignore the Governor. This action greatly incensed Sir Alexander Swettenham.
