THE PLAGUE
Sydney, January 26. There are two oases of plague in the city and a, third is under suspicion. The victim in each case ib employed in Kingstreet, in the heart of the city.

The third case of plague reported yesterday lias developed, and the patient has died.
INTERSTATE CRICK Sydney, January 26. In the match yesterday between Victoria and New South Wales the latter in the first innings made 491 (Diamond 210, not out; Macartney, 72 ; Cotter, 34). Armstrong had the best average, securing four wickets for 116. Victoria lost nine wickets for 177 (Armstrong, not out, 103; Macalister, 51).
A REGATTA. Sydney, January 26. The anniversary regatta yesterday passed off successfully.
