London, January 26. Ax outbreak of cerebrospinal meningitis has occurs i at Belfast. In twelve cases there have been eight deaths.
Spotted fever is somewhat common in the United Stales ami on the Continent of Europe. An outbreak attended by very high, mortality rates occurred in New York in' 1905, and 800 deaths from the disease were recorded. There was also a widespread outbreak in Silesia, and isolated cases were reported from Australia. The disease consists of inflammation of the membranes of the brain and spinal cord.
