Tho -Government three - masted schooner Counter of Ranfurly completed her loading for the Cook Islands on Saturday morning and went to an anchorage in the stream. The schooner will sail to-day. . On Saturday the barquentine Senorita arrived at Kaipara from Newcastle with a cargo of coal. The tugboat- Awarus left last evening for Whangarei. THE SELWYN CRAIG. The barquentine Selwyn Craig. Captain James Stuart, arrived from Newcastle yesterday afternoon with iv cargo of coal and after (he. usual inspection was granted pratique. The vessel sailed from the New South Wales port on January Z and met- with « succession of strong and light head winds all the way across the Tusman Sea and down the New Zealand coast. THE TOKOMARU. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Tokonuiru, which armed from London on Friday, finished putting out her consignments of explosives at. the powder ground on Saturday and berthed at. the Queen-street Wharf in the evening. The steamer will commence discharging her cargo of general merchandise, consisting of about 3000 tons, this morning. THE lIAIPIRI. The Union Company's steamer Ilaupiri. Captain John Campbell, arrived from East. Coast ports on Saturday morning with a quantity of general cargo. The steamer leaves for East Coast bays, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington this afternoon. THE PATH AN. The cargo steamer Pathan was floated out of Calliope Dock early yesterday morning alter cleaning and painting, and left shortly afterwards for Wellington to load for London. THE WIMMERA. The in■t-Pniker steamer Wimmera, Captain F. G. Entwisle, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 9.55 a.m. yesterday and berthed at. Quay-street Jetty No. If. The "purser reports that the steamer left. Dunedin on Tuesday last and called at the usual way ports, leaving titsborne at- 11.55 a.m. on Saturday and making port as above. Experienced light variable winds and smooth seas throughout the passage. The Wimmera leaves for Sydney at 5.30 p.m. to-day. THE VICTORIA. The- Huddart-Parke'r steamer Victoria, Captain William Waller, arrived from Sydney at 2.15 p.m. yesterday, and, being granted pratique, berthed at the- Hohson-street Wharf. The purser reports that the steamer left Sydney at 1.30 p.m. and passed through the heads at 2 p.m. on Wednesday lust, rounded the North Capo at 12.30 a.m. yesterday, and arrived as above. Experienced moderate to fresh south-east, winds and sea to the North Cape, thence light variable winds and smooth seas, with fine clear weather down the coast to arrival. The Victoria acts as flagship at the Anniversary Regatta to-morrow, and leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at 7 o'clock in tho evening. THE EDWARD. The brig Edward, Captain A. Feast, arrived from Port Espernnce and Lyttelton at 6 p.m. on Saturday and anchored in the stream. The vessel brings a part cargo of hardwood timber, posts, rails and palings from the Tasmanian port and a quantity ot general produce from Lyttelton. The master reports sailing from Port Esperance on December 24 last and arrived at Lyttelton on January 5, after a passage of 12 days. A portion of tho cargo being discharged, the brig tilled up with produce and sailed for Auckland on January 16. Very boisterous weather prevailed to the East Cape, which was jwssed on January 20. thence light west and north-west-winds and calms, with generally line weather, to arrival. THE IRISH MONARCH. The steamer Irish Monarch, under charter to the United States and Australasia. Steamship Company, arrived from New York and Australia on Saturday morning, and, being granted pratique, berthed at tin- Queen-street Wharf. The steamer left the American port on November 7 and reached Melbourne on December 31. The finish of the voyage to .Melbourne was somewhat exciting, a fire being discovered in one of the holds when tho steamer was about, SCO miles off the port. When it had been subdued the steamer discharged her cargo and left for Sydney, and. consignments having bwn put out at that port, tho steamer resumed her voyage to Auckland on January 21 and mad« port as above. On the voyage to Australia the usual ordinary weather prevailed, and on the run across the Tasman Sea variable winds and moderate weather were experienced. Owing to the fire on board of the steamer a. general average bond of 20 per cent, has been declared. The Irish Monarch is a new steamer of 4350 toa3 register and carries a cargo of 7500 tons deadweight.
