TH HIERARCH CASE.

A special meeting of the A.B.C. committee was held yesterday to consider the appeal lodged by Messrs. L. Harris and .1. L. Thorpe against the decision of the A.R.C. stewards regarding the running of their colt Hierareh in the Nursery Handicap at Ellerslie on Boxing Day, in connection with which it will lie remembered an all-round six months' disqualification was meted out. Messrs. Harris and Thorpe appeared before the committee, producing evidence anil each making a statement. After a short deliberation the committee decided to endorse the finding of the stewards. It is understood that; the owners of Hierareh intend to take the further step of appealing to the chairman of tin* Racing Conference.
