CROW LANDS FOR SELECTION

THE SKI AWN SETTLEMENT. Os* Wednesday. •January 50, Hit- Crown hands Department will throw open for selection grazing runs and rural lands in the southern portion of Selwyn settlement. The rural lands are offered on lease in per)>etuilv. Section 8, Block A., 600 acres, at £13 2s 6d half-yearly rent ; section 9. Block V., 261 acres, at '£11 8s lOd halfyea rent : section 11. Block X., 10/ acres, at. £7 12s lOd per half-year; and section 12. Block X., 532 acres, at £8 6s 3d per half-year, all in l'atetere North survey district; and in l'atetere. North-east and North districts two sections will he offered as one allotment, namely, section 46. Block IV. (north-east), 392 acres, at- £24 10s per halfyear, and section 83, Block 111. (north), 359 acres, at £13 9s 3d per half-year. These areas a.re of agricultural and pastoral land, of light, loamy nature, on sandstone formation. generally undulating, and .some of it a little broken. A good area of the total offered is in grass, or has been surface sown. The grazing runs are: Section 41, Block XIV.. I'atetere North survey district, and Block 11. I'atetere South survey district. 5095 acres, offered at £21 4s 7d halfyearly; section 42. Block XIII.. I'atetere North, 2460 acres, at £10 5s per half-year; section 44, Blocks 111. and VIL, l'atetere South survey district, 4260 acres, at £8 17s 6d; and section 45, Block IV., I'atetere South, 3950 acres, at £8 4s 7d. There are certain small valuations for improvements.
