The committee having in hand the arrangements are determined that the tournament shall bo. in all respect* worthy of the club and the town. Tlie committee evi' deutly recognises the fact that there is much to be gained from meeting first-class players, for it has extended an invitation to the Australian "reps." to visit the Hamilton green .during their tour in New Zealand in. connection with the tournament to be held in Christohurch in January. This goaheadness augurs well tor the future of the club, and there are : many in the province which might well take >a leaf out of our country cousins.' book.
