ARTILLERY REARMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Received November l. 11.7 p.m.) Calcutta, November 1. All the quick-firers required to rearm the artillery of the Indian army have now been landed in India. The above refers to the new 18i-pounder guns for field artillery and the 3.2i;pounder guns for horse artillery. The gun is a true quick-firer of high efficiency. The gunners are protected by shields and armour is provided to the ammunition waggons. The Home army a.'so is being supplied with the new gun.
